  16. I would like to use Ckermit as a terminal program on an SGI but use zmodem
  17. to do transfers.

  19. First of all, is this even possible?
  20. Secondly, if it is, how would I go about doing it? I tried the following
  21. (which didn't work): dial into a unix system via kermit (i.e. set modem
  22. usr, set speed 38400, set line /dev/ttyf2), run "sz <filename>" on the
  23. remote system, get back to the local kermit shell and issue "redirect rz".
  24. Why doesn't this work? According to the kermit help file, redirect
  25. <command> should redirect the input/output from the given command to the
  26. connected line.

  28. Or does anyone else know of another terminal program that permits me to
  29. use ymodem or zmodem on an SGI? y-/zmodem is essential for this task, as
  30. the other system (PC based) only supports these transfer protocols.

  32. By the way, I am currently using C-Kermit 5A(190), 4 Oct 94, for Silicon
  33. Graphics IRIX 5.1.
